Alarm for Twizy

Firstly sorry I can't write this in German.

My beloved Twizy was vandalised, Back in July, it's taken this long to get it almost fixed, it's a very long story of unpleasant events that I don't want to ever happen again.

The vandals tried to steal it by hammering a screwdriver into the ignition barrel. They tried to break the steering wheel lock, and caused a lot of damage. It's now waiting for the airbag "management system" to be replaced, after having a load of work already done.

I want to fit an alarm that isn't ultrasonic, as it would go off all the time, but is simply activated by opening the doors, and maybe a microswich under the seat when armed. I'm think they would have sat down, but that's a like, not a want.

I know I can't fit it, and would ask the garage to do so, so I need a very basic alarm, that's available in the UK.

Can anyone recommend one, please?

I made it almost like this, only the position of my switch is a little bit different. I screwed it onto a piece of plastic and glued it at the perfect working position. You can't open the door more than 1-2 cm and then the switch is activated. Then you need Korea windows with a lock and no one will steal anything again. I mean your rims maybe or something outdoor, but with a sensor for shocks impossible to do it without an alarm.

It is pretty simple, you can install it on your own. I took a cheap system for about 30€ and it works fine.

Was hälst du davon? Das ist natürlich nicht die schönste Variante, aber das ist einfach zum kleben sowie mit Batterie und du kannst an jedem Tür einen Empfänger und den Sender am Twizy festkleben.
Das sollte auf alle Fälle stark abschrecken.


What do you think of it? Of course, it's not the prettiest option, but it's easy to stick on and has a battery. So you can stick a receiver to each door and the transmitter to the Twizy.

That should definitely be a big deterrent.

How about heat and the pads? Empty batteries?
