Is there a problem with inserting images?

I have inserted several images in posts before ( here , here , here ). It couldn't have been that complicated, or else I wouldn't have been able to figure it out

I'd like to write a post, with an inserted image. I can do the following: Anhang -> Datei hinzufügen -> select the image. A small thumbnail of the image then appears under the field where I'm writing the post. That part is succesful. But I cannot figure out anymore how to actually insert the image into the post. The button Alle einfügen does nothing, the button Alle entfernen removes any thumbnail that are present under the post field.

I seem to remember that next to the thumbnail there used to be a button along the lines of "insert imported image into post", but that's not there. I have tried this in Chrome and Edge, and also with png and jpg images. The images are small, under 200 kb.

i wish I could post a screenshot of the problem - but I can't!

Has something changed? Or am I just not smart?

Hey that Im Beitrag button does not appear for me!

But I guess it's only me, so I'll try out deleting cookies, yet another browser, another computer, and my phone etc.

Also bei mir geht es. Die Stelle im Beitrag suchen und dann an entsprechender Stelle "einfügen"

So ging es bei mit immer und geht auch im Moment die

Kann kein Problem erkennen , alles wie immer.

Weird; deleting cookies did not help. Chrome, Edge, Brave, the button is not appearing in any browser. It did work last week or so....

On my phone: works normally.

I'll troubleshoot this later, but the problem is clearly something with my laptop. Thank you all for looking into it.

I still had problems inserting images, but I think I found out what caused it. I use the program Greenshot for making screenshots, and it appears that the default file name it generates is the problem. See the screenshot. At the top a screenshot that I cannot insert into a post, and a normal photo from my phone that I can insert into a post. Compare the file names.



After changing the file name of the problematic image (deleting the last part) I can insert the screenshot in a post:



I don't know which part of the file name is problem, I'm going to change the default file name that Greenshot generates and that should fully solve my problem. The only weird part is, is that this used to work without problems. Either Greenshot had an update that slightly changed the default file name, or the forum software had an update that made it stumble over some part of the file name.

In any case, the cause is known, I have a solution - and as an IT guy I find that kind of an ideal situation Maybe this post will be useful in the future for someone who encounters the same problem.

Jaaa, das sind die ganz kleinen Kleinigkeiten, die man "sehr gerne" übersieht.
Dieses ' macht auch woanders in der Software Probleme. Vor allem wenn man im Suchbegriff dieses ' eintippt, heißt es "not found". Dabei ist es vorhanden. Z.B. in Filmtiteln mit '.

That also explains why I had the problem and no one else had, because I'm playing around with my Twiz'O'Meter, and my screenshot application inserts that in the screenshot file name
