Brake light when recuperation
Hello!
I know this has been up for discussion several times. And that the T doesn't output any signal that can be used to light the brake lights.
Was thinking of using a switch connected in parallel with the brake switch but mounted to the gas pedal. So when you have the gas pedal in the fully up position the brake light will be lit.
I see other benefits as well, dont have to press the brake pedal to release the handbrake and that the buzzer wont buzz when standing still on level ground. Just like and ordinary car...
I dont see it as a problem, but the brake light will also be on standing still at a red light, but that is quite normal since you normally have your foot on the brake padal.
A technical question: is the current (42 W) to the brake lights going through the brake light switch or is it only a control signal?
What do you think?
Fredrik

Not good , as the brake light will allways lite up when you release the acc.pedale...
May confuse all behind you and a lot times you will not fully release the pedale to slow or speed using recu
To make it corect, you need a signal from the box, when recu is working

Brake light when recuperation
Hi
I don't agree, it is only when high SOC the recuperation is not doing anything when lifting. I have more recuperation with OVMS so I would say it is always deacceleration when lifting..
Legal? maybe not but I think it would be safer (for me).

Beside the fact that its not allowed, I like the idea (and I hope it is as simple as it sounds). Please keep us updated.sciroccogtx16v schrieb: Was thinking of using a switch connected in parallel with the brake switch but mounted to the gas pedal.
