How to test your twizy charger for a short
How to test your twizy charger for a short....All these tests are resistance only and NO mains/Batteries/Control cable connected
I have been reading in the forums that changing the fets will not correct the charge problem even though they find fets and resistors blown.
Well no they can not expect it to work if the drive or oscillator system is down and that is driven from the 2 vertical sub-drive modules next to both the outer modules....
I have removed these modules to check types and data of chips and smd components.
These test are with no mains or batteries connected...the 3 tests can be done with out taking any part of the case off...they are tested from the 3 plugs.
First the mains input there should be around 129k across.
Next DC 12V thin black >3M across
Next DC 58V thick orange > 100k across
If all OK then much more to follow but would need to get under pcb for testing....so a tear down required ,but if so take pictures as you tear down.
Also no one can do serious in-depth sub module drive and component testing with that dammed orange glue....I have removed every bit so I can remove vertical sub drive modules and test out of circuit....you can remove very easy with ABERSIL AMBERKLENE ME20 , ...once applied the glue comes off in big chunks within minutes.
any member like to give us feedback and the issues you got with your charger unit.
the more information we have the more we can crack this system and repair these charger units .
thank you to all the members who are willing to help us out

Please note this is high voltage when testing your unit out
if you dont know how to do it.
give it to a engineer who can do the test for you
