I'm sorry about what happened to you.benchy schrieb: ... and search an substitute.
Do you still have some of these?
I don't know if mine can be considered a sobstitute, but if you like the functions it has at the moment, I can insert you in the waiting list.
I think I could have a few units available (in addition to those already confirmed) for the end of this month (more or less, it's depend on the date of arrival of the components).

I already mounted the Twizy'o'meter and it works like expected and looks pretty good.
Great work!
But as I am a pragmatist, I would prefer to have some changes.
I hope it will be possible to realize my feature requests and does not cause to much work to you.
Let's start with my idea of the battery info page:
I would prefer to have all the following informations on one screen:
cell voltages, module temperatures, SOC and total voltage.
Maybe like this?
SOC: 83,3 %
Voltage: 56,0 V
V_cell-1 temp module-1 V_cell-2
V_cell-3 temp module-2 V_cell-4
V_cell-5 temp module-3 V_cell-6
V_cell-7 temp module-4 V_cell-8
V_cell-9 temp module-5 V_cell-10
V_cell-11 temp module-6 V_cell-12
V_cell-13 temp module-7 V_cell-14
What do you think about it?

Thank you very much!Snorre schrieb: I already mounted the Twizy'o'meter and it works like expected and looks pretty good.

Cables length was fine for your particular installation?

In my personal opinion, I prefer to have not much values in a little screen, to avoid confusion.Snorre schrieb: I would prefer to have all the following informations on one screen:

To put all those values together, it would need to re-think (and redraw) the graphical layout of info page, and to modify the code (actualy it handles max 10 value per page).
Anyway, it would be possible. I'll give it a thought.
In the meanwhile, what about an automatic swapping of the three pages? This is easier (at least in my mind ) to implement....
A good news for all: today my stressed Twizy o'meter prototype was connected sussessfully to internet via Wi-Fi, and sent its first "Hello world" (with SOC percentage) to Mqtt broker.
There are still some problems, but test result of today gave me a motivation to proceed.
P.S.:
I cut and pasted something... Have you in mind something like this?

At the moment it is still a "quick and dirty" installation.
No problem.
And for the final installation I don`t expect problems too.
Delvecchio schrieb: In my personal opinion, I prefer to have not much values in a little screen, to avoid confusion.
I agree with you.
But concerning the battery info screen I`m not interested in every single value.
I just want to see whether one of the values is out of range or not.
This will be no problem in an overview display.

I would prefer to have an overview display on all values instead of swapping.
Your graphical layout looks pretty nice, but to me this is not so important.
A very simple layout would be good enough for me.
Maybe just text instead of graphical layout?
I don`t know whether there is a way to design the screen layouts more simple.

Yes, that`s exactly what I`m thinking of.

Ok. For me, the solution is to add this "condensed" info page, keeping also the existing ones, and let the user choose (with a specific setting) what he want to show, according to his taste.Snorre schrieb: Yes, that`s exactly what I`m thinking of.
If someone from the forum, with graphic skills, has an idea for the layout of this "condensed" page (320x240 px), he will be wellcame. The only restrictions is to keep same text fonts, because there isn't enough space on the memory of the display to add further font types.

Just wait a little bit, before you add features.
Right now it's just JBP and me who own a Twizy'o'meter.
I suppose that there will be several more feature requests when more devices are delivered.
This was just my first idea.
I'm thinking of others too.
Let's collect feature requests and then decide what is useful and what can be cancelled.
In case that it is easy to integrate the condensed info page, feel free to do it.
Otherwise wait for more suggestions.
One question about the mounting orientation of the blachbox:
Is it necessary to mount the blachbox according to the yellow strip, or will the red strip orientation okay too?
Will this be corrected when doing the gyroscope calibration?

It's better to respect both. They could false gyroscope measures (angular acceleration and so)Snorre schrieb: Is it necessary to mount the blachbox according to the yellow strip, or will the red strip orientation okay too?
Also don't forget to allign the blackbox in plane respect to the floor (wheel axises), both frontaly and lateraly (see picture). Otherwise inclinations measures will be wrong
.
To be honest, in my tests, calibration corrects only minimal distortions.Snorre schrieb: Will this be corrected when doing the gyroscope calibration?

Delvecchio schrieb: I want to open a poll about what you would like to see in Trip info page.
I guess it could be usefull:
1) trip time (the elapsed time from start to stop Twizy)
2) average speed (calculated: km. traveled / trip time). Do you prefer travel pauses are removed from calculation?
3) kwh consumed (calculated: kwh available at start - kwh left at stop)
4) estimated left km autonomy (calculated: kwh consumed / km traveled * kwh left). Is there a better algoritm?
5) km traveled
What else?
While being on the road with the Twizy, I`m interested in these informations:
1. trip time, starting when Twizy is turned to "GO"
2. km travelled, trip distance since last "GO"
3. average consumption since last "GO" in kWh/100km
4. estimated left km
5. SOC
6. battery voltage
7. actual 12V battery voltage
It would be great to have a charging page too, presenting informations like this:
1. charging power
2. remaining charging time to SOC 100%
3. charger temperature
Btw:
Is the blackbox able to do CAN writes too, or only CAN reads?

I only have 5 days until the Twizy has to be loaded onto the trailer for the trip to Spain, so I am not sure if I find time to test it. If not I will do so in a couple of weeks in Spain

It's already running in the firmware I'm testing in these days. It starts automaticaly during charging, but you can disable it in settings page.Snorre schrieb: It would be great to have a charging page too, presenting informations like this:
It looks so (screenshot, not real image):
Charger plug in the icons is the italian one, not shuko...

Yse, the CAN module I used could also write, but I know nothing about writing to the bus, so I didn't implement this feature.Snorre schrieb: Is the blackbox able to do CAN writes too, or only CAN reads?

That a pity.
Otherwise it should be possible to implement features like charge power adjustents, changes in recuperation or even sending tuning profiles to the SEVCON.

green_fox schrieb: Maybe Dexter can help here when he has some time? If I remember correctly, setting the charging power is done by the OVMS sending commands continously to the charger via CAN during the charging process. So maybe the code from the OVMS can help here
That's correct, as far as I remember.
But as Fabio has no experience with CAN writes yet, I don't want to urge him to do such implementions.
